Two-faced woman...

Verse...  "Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.  Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your holy spirit from me.  Restore to me the joy of your Salvation, and uphold me by your generous spirit."  Psalm 51:10-12

Thought for today...   Just because God works incredible good out of unspeakable tragedies doesnt mean He orchestrated the tragedy. Dont ever assume that God using something means that He caused it or that He needed it to accomplish his purposes. (Wm Paul Young)

Another thought for today....  Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done... And the devil keeps throwing it up in your face (lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad habits, hatred, anger, bitterness, etc.)...whatever it is...You need to know that:

God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing. He has seen your whole life.... He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven. He's just wondering how long you will let the devil make a slave of you. The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness; He not only forgives you, but He forgets. It is by God's grace and mercy that we are saved.

Poem....  I found this poem online, I hold no rights to it.  The author is unknown...

The Two-Faced Woman:

A wink, a nod, "I'm fine," I say,

To people as they walk past.

But inside my heart is torn to shreds,

My smile is just a mask.

I'll sit and chat, maybe share a joke,

Or at least I'll really try.

But my genuine friends see through the smoke,

My empty eyes cannot lie.

At home I weep, feel down in despair,

My feelings I cannot hide.

From husband, daughter, baby girl,

I'm afraid they're along for the ride.

Those waves of grief, they still hit hard,

And knock me off my feet.

I'm comforted, though, by their tender touch,

My daughters turn the bitter to sweet.

My babies now have Angel Wings,

In heaven they play and rest.

But in my heart I have their love,

And for that, I'm eternally blessed.

Yes, I'm the two-faced woman,

It's a job that I have to do.

To get on in life without my babies,

Day, week, and whole year through.

Waiting on you

Verse....  Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him.  And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves.  But He was asleep.  Then His disciples came to Him and woke Him saying, "Lord save us!  We are perishing!"  But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?"  Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.  So the men marveled, saying, "Who can this be, that even the winds and hte sea obey Him?"  Matthew 8:23-27

Poem...

Waiting on You
Seems so hard to do
When Im focused on me
And not upon you

Submitting my will
Obediently to serve yours
Brings me to refreshing
peaceful waters.

Striving to move upstraeam
Against society's treacherous currents
Is truly an effort in futility
Without riding upon Your wings of Grace

Please give me the patience
To follow your lead
Dwelling in the tranquil waters
Reflecting your glorious face.

Sinking in sorrow

Verse...  "Save me, O God, for the waters have come up to my neck.  I sink in deep mire.  WHere there is no standing; I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.  I am weary with my crying: my throat is dry; my eyes fail while I wait for my God."  Psalm 69:1-3

Thought for today....  We sink in our grief after a miscarriage and feel like we are drowning.  Call out to Jesus for help.  He can help you.  There were many days I felt like I was going to drown in grief over the loss of my babies.  But with the help of God I made it through.  Call out to him!

Song/video....

Poem...

Sinking in sorrow

Sadness floods my soul
Tears pour down like a river
mourning and sorrow
hold me down
like a heavy weight
around my neck
my head just above
the surface of restless waters

Water keeps rising
The load keeps pulling me down
My mouth will soon
pass the water line
with my last breath
Just before going under
I beg you, Lord,
Please release this anchor
before I drowned.

Babies born in heaven

Verse....  He said to them"When you pray say 'Father, hallowed be your name your kingdom come.  Give us each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.  And lead us not into temptation."  Luke 11:2-4 NIV

Thought for today...   God knows you.  He engraved your name on his hands and keeps your tears in a bottle.  He is near you.  And his kingdom needs you.  You are part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.  (from the cure from the common life)

Poem...

Babes Born in Heaven

I slept securely in the shelter of the womb,

Perfectly protected in my very special room.

Only Jesus knew me, I was yet unborn.

That sorrowful day, your heart was torn.

You were left with only baby things,

I was carried away on angel's wings.

Taken to a far better place,

Secure in the comfort of Jesus' embrace.

babes born in heaven are bountifully blest,

for they've only ever known the best.

Their lullabies sweet angels sing,

In the palace nurrsery of the King.

Here you grow up, but you never grow old,

It's warm and comfy, but never cold.

Heaven's play grounds are always safe,

for even the tiniest waif.

I laugh and I sing and have playmates too,

AND JESUS TELLS ME ALL ABOUT YOU.

I've met Great Grandma and Grandpa too,

we're all waiting to welcome you.

Jesus will wipe away every tear,

The purpose for everything will be clear.

There'll be no more death, sadness or pain,

Only joy, contentment and peace here reign.

Though, for a moment, life seems unfair,

Eternity will be proof of his care.

What you've given up, for which you grieve,

Can't compare to that which you'll recieve.

Your child born and raised in Heaven,

One day, by the Father you'll be given.

Grace is spending Christmas in heaven...

This year Grace is spending Christmas with the angels
Up above the stars in the sky
Sitting on Jesus lap
and Playing in Heaven's playground
with all the other babies
that have gone from earth way too soon.

I know my baby is safe and warm
and kept from harm
I know she's looking down on us
wondering why we're sad

We wanted her to spend Christmas with us
But instead she is in heaven.

Lynn Fozzy

Faith

Verse.... "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving; present your requests to God. And the peace of God that transcends understanding, will guard your hearts and your mindsin Christ Jesus." Phillipians 4:6-7 NIV

loved & missed

FAITH

I talked to God about you

last night as I prayed

He said, "I know you loved her too

but I had to take her away"

He told me not to worry

that she was just fine

and for me not to be in such a hurry

because I would hold her again in time

He said, "Your grandparents are here

and they watch over her for you,

so there's no need to cry more tears

because she gets sad when you do,"

"She wanted me to tell you she was proud

to have a mother who loves her so much

and it hurts her to hear you cry so loud

when you are longing for her touch,"

"So be happy and live your life

you will have such a blessing

I know when the time is right,

it's your faith in Me, I'm testing.

I'll see you when the sun goes down....

Verse....  "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.  Each da has enough trouble of its own."  Matthew 6:34 NIV

Thought for today...  Dont forget with Christmas coming up the real reason for the season, and that is the birth of Jesus, our Saviour!

Song/video.....

Poem.... Author unknown (found online)

I'll see you when the sun goes down

And all the stars go crazy,

And Christ returns to claim His throne

Upon this erring earth.

And you and I will be amazed

At all that now seems hazy;

For now is faith, but then will be

The glory of rebirth.

Death will die, and we will sing

With angels at our ears,

And all my love for you will pour

Like rivers from my song.

And joy will never end, for we

Will be beyond the years,

And time before the end of time

Will not seem very long.

How beautiful Creation will

Then be! Much more than now,

When visible to faith alone

As we endure our pain.

How wonderful the gift of grace

From Christ that will allow

Me well to bear my grief until

I see you once again.

Infertility

Verse...  "But the angel said to him "Do not be afraid.".  Luke 1:13 NIV

Thought for today.  The verse above was when the angel was telling Zechariah that his wife was expecting a child and she was advanced years (she was thought barren).  But I think the message applies to us as well.  "Do not be afraid"...  God knows the plan for you life..  We have been studying this verse at church and I just felt the need to share it this morning.

Song/video....  <object width="445" height="364">

Poem.... This poem was written about infertility but I believe it applies to us as well.  Because we still have the longing for the baby.  I hope you enjoy.  I found this online author unknown...

Our infertility cannot be seen

But we feel it everyday

The hurt the anguish and despair

Doesn’t go away

We are grieving all the time

For something we never had

I never thought that was possible

To lose something that was never there – to feel so sad

We hate to feel this way

We hate to cry these tears

We hate to wonder how long this will take

Will it be months or years?

It kills us to see other families

It’s a reminder of what we aren’t

We should smile for them and be happy

But we just can’t

It hurts us to listen to parents

Saying a crying baby is the pits

We should be so lucky to have a crying baby

We wouldn’t mind a bit

We would sit and admire our baby

This amazing thing that we created

We would embrace this baby with so much love

And talk about how long for this we had waited

We wouldn’t mind the dirty nappies

Or the many sleepless nights

We would just be grateful to have our bundle

That we would hold so tight

We wouldn’t complain about feeding

Or having our lives turned upside down

Nothing could get rid of our smiles

From having our baby around

We hope the wait is over soon

And that our baby will be here

Then the day will come

That we can finally shed happy tears

How do you love a person

Verse...  "My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant.  From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me - holy is his name."  Luke 1:46-49  NIV

Thought for today....  When people do what is right, God remembers...  (The inspirational study bible)

Song/video....

Poem....

How do you love a person

Who never got to be,

Or try again to see a face

You never got to see?

How do you mourn the death of one

Who never got to live,

When there's nothing to feel good about

And nothing to forgive?

I love you, little sister.

You're a person of the wind,

Free to be the memory

Of all that might have been.

I love you, little sister,

My companion of the night,

Wandering through my lonely hours,

Beautiful and bright.

What does it mean to die before

You ever can be born,

To live the lovely night of life

And never see the dawn?

Ah! My little sister,

You lived like anyone!

Life's a burst of joy and pain,

And then, like yours, it's done.

I love you, little sister,

Just as if you'd lived for years.

No more, no less, I think of you,

The angel of my tears.

For my baby angel....

Verse...  "The Lord is my shepard I shall not be in want, he makes me like down in green pastures, he leads me beside the still waters, he restores my soul.  He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.  Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and your staff they comfort me.  You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.  You annoint my head with oil, my cup overflows.  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."  Psalm 23 NIV

Thought for today...  Grief from whatever source, is a long and painful journey..  And I found, its full of frightful choices.  The urge to retreat into a cocoon like existence is great, and depression is slipped into easily.  The healing balm of God's very special grace heals us from the inside out.  (Verdell Davis)

Song/video.....

Poem....  Found on the internet, author unknown

When you began to grow, so did the feelings deep inside

When I knew you were there I brimmed with all my pride

Our lives were going to be busy, hectic and such fun

But it was not to be my beautiful little one.

You were taken from us by a cruel, horrid twist of fate

Alass our paths were not to cross until a later date

One day I'll show you how I cuddle when you need me there

To give all the love I have but never got to share.

So until we meet again my angel I'll hold you in my heart

For my love for you grows stronger even though we are apart

You're in every smile I share and every good thing I do

So bye for now my darling til mummy comes to you xxx

Some say....

I know that many of you that are reading this are probably struggling with your faith after what you have been through.  You are probably thinking "Why me" or "how could God do this to me" or "how could he let it happen again?"...    I cannot answer those questions for you.  I can only pray that you find peace with your loss.  The loss of a child is a devastating loss no matter if it is 4 weeks or 40 weeks.   I hope that through reading my blog you are able to re-kindle your faith in God.  Because no matter what bad things happen to us he will ALWAYS be there with you. You may not always feel him but I promise when you look back you will know that he was with you holding your hand during those hard times.  May God Bless each and every one of you today.

Verse....  My pastor used this verse last night, and I think its such a great verse that I had to use it today.. "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.  But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."  Matthew 6: 19-21 NIV

Thought for today...  Meet today's problems with today's strength.  Dont start tackling tomorrows problems until tomorrow.  You do not have tomorrow's strength yet.  You simply have enough for today.  (from the book Traveling Light)

Song/video....

Poem...

Some say you are the wind,

Some say you fly at night,

But I know the truth,

God holds onto you real tight.

Some say your in the water,

Some say your in the sun,

But I know where you are,

You are safe my little one.

Some say you are a butterfly,

Some say you are our peace,

But I know you are just resting,

You wait from death to be released.

I know one day you'll read this,

Maybe understand my pain,

See I want you back insde me,

So I can do my job again.

I believe God will do this for us,

Join us back together we'll be,

Then you'll be my butterfly,

As you grow, just wait and see.

Then together we will look,

Out at the mountains and the trees,

You'll hold my hand and whisper,

Mum that's where I've always been.

You'll mean you were my spirit,

Your what kept me going and strong,

You'll mean you were the reason,

Why this life will go on.

My child....

Welcome to my Daily Inspiration blog.. I started doing a daily inspiration post on a message board that I frequent not long after losing my baby Grace at 18 weeks gestation. I have lost three babies total, one at 8 wks, one at 18 wks, and one at 7 wks. I am currently expecting again and praying that it is God's will we get to keep this baby.

I moved my daily postings over to this blog when I got pregnant again and didnt want to offend girls that were grieving. I post a daily bible verse, a thought for the day, a song and a poem.. I hope that you enjoy and maybe it helps you see light on the "dark days" after pregnancy loss/ miscarriage. I can tell you that God has carried me through the last year.

Verse..  "My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant.  From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me holy in his name.  His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation."  Luke 1:46-50 NIV

Thought for today....  God leads us.  He will do the right thing at the right time.  (from the book Traveling Light)

Song/video....  Mark Schultz is a wonderful artist!  I hope you all enjoy this song.

Another Mark Schultz song...  (tissue warning) I believe he wrote this when his son was sick with cancer...

Poem....

MY CHILD

My darling Child,

How much I love you,

Will you ever know?

I shall never hold you

Close to my bosom,

Only within my heart.

I will never sit at your bedside,

And listen to your tiny breaths,

As you sleep soundly.

I shan’t watch your first steps,

With awe, wonder and pride

And the patter of your tiny feet

Will never be heard.

No one will see your pretty face

Or tiny hands and feet

For God decided

That you were much too special

For this cruel world.

He wanted you to stay

Up above in Heaven

And sing with the angels.

I love you

My angel child.

Little angels...

Welcome to my Daily Inspiration blog.. I started doing a daily inspiration post on a message board that I frequent not long after losing my baby Grace at 18 weeks gestation. Verse...  "Then Job replied to the Lord 'I know that you can do all things, no plan of yours can be thwarted.  You asked "who is this that obscures counsel without knowledge.?" Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know.  Job 42:1-3 NIV

Thought for today.....  Peace is much less a condition than a state of mind.  Anxiety and tension can rule the day even when the circumstances of my life would indicate that all should be well with me.  I can walk in sunshine and see only shadows.  I can be surrounded by those I love and be consumed with fear of losing them.  I can accomplish a great task and still wonder why I did not do better.....  Peace in the ultimate meaning of the word, is not the absence of conflict.  It is not the accumulation of wealth or comfort and ease, or a state of happieness.  Peace is that sense down deep inside that says no matter what happens, all is well with my soul...  (Verdell Davis)

Song/video...  This isnt the greatest video, but this is a very powerful song!

Poem...

Little Angels

When God calls little children

to dwell with Him above.

We mortals sometimes question

the wisdom of His love.

for no heartache compares with

the death of one small child,

who does so much to make our world

seem wonderful and mild.

Perhaps God tires of calling

the aged to His fold.

So He picks a rosebud

before it can grow old.

God knows how much we need them

and so He takes but few,

to make the land of Heaven

more beautiful to view.

Believing this is difficult

still somehow me must try.

The saddest word mankind know

will always be "Goodbye".

So when a child departs

we who are left behind,

must realize God loves children,

Angels are hard to find.

Candles

by sascha

It is not easy to remember dead children.

But, easy or not,

we know that we will not -

and do not want to -

forget them.

Therefore we reach out together again,

to love them and to celebrate their memory.

Again, we light their special candles

and we say their beloved names.

We remember our children, who died.

They remain forever part of us, and we are richer for having shared their lives,

however briefly.

Wish...

Verse....  "Let your patience show itself perfectly in what you do."  James 1:4

Thought for today...    Dear Risen Lord, How hard it is to see clearly when devastating circumstances fill my eyes with tears.  How blurry everything gets.  Even you get blurry, and the sound of your voice becomes strangely unfamiliar.  Help me to blink away those tears to see that you are standing beside me, wanting to know why I am crying.... wanting to know where it hurts... wanting to wipe away every tear from my eyes.  Thank you Jesus for being there, for never leaving me or forsaking me, even in the darkest and chilliest hours of my life.  (Ken Gire)

Wish

by sascha

I wish you gentle days

and quiet nights.

I wish you memories

to keep you strong.

I wish you time to smile

and time for song. . . . .

And then I wish you friends to give you love,

When you are hurt and lost and life is blind,

I wish you friends and love and peace of mind.

When I Must Leave You

"When I must leave you for a little while

Please do not grieve and shed wild tears

And hug your sorrow to you through the years.

But start out bravely with a gallant smile;

And for my sake and in my name

Live on and do all things the same,

Feed not your loneliness on empty days,

But fill each waking hour in useful ways,

Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer

And I in turn will comfort you And hold you near;

And never, never be afraid to die,

For I am waiting for you in the sky!"

Tiny angels

Verse....  "The Lord GOd will wipe away tears from all faces...."  Isaiah 25:8 NKJV

Thought for today...  In the midst of your daily storms, make it a point to be still and set your sights on God.  Let God be God.  Let him bathe you in his glory so that your breath and your troubles are sucked from your soul.  Be still.  Be quiet.  Be open and willing.  Then you will know that God is God.  (Max Lucado)

Hope - not an easy word

Verse...  "What is impossible with man is possible with God."  Matthew 19:26

Thought for today....  People who walk closely, steadily with God do not fear the future.  Even when bad news comes, they can accept it.  That doesnt mean they wont have emotions about it - sadness, anger, even despair.  But they know there is no need to fear, even in the face of disaster, because they trust God.  They know that God is in control of all things.  God can work all things for the good.  So when even terrible circumstances erupt around them, their immediate reaction is to jump into God's arms and let him carry them.  (Peter Wallace)

Song/video...    This is an absolutely beautiful song!  I hope you all enjoy!

Poem...

NOT AN EASY WORD

Hope is not an easy word

for grievers

but we, more than most others,

need to understand

what hope can mean for us.

Hope means finding the strength

to live with grief.

Hope means nurturing

with grace

the joy of remembrance.

Hope means embracing

with tenderness and pride

our own life and

the gifts left to us

by those we have lost.

Broken

Verse....  "Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Mark 11:24

Thought for today...  Wisdom comes when we examine the experiences God gives us and discern what we have (or should have) learned from them.

Song/video...

Poem...

Broken

My heart is broken.

Why can't you all just see.

It is not strength I show.

Just an empty hallow me.

You have changed.

Some might say.

The happy, laughing, smiling me.

Has quickly gone away.

My son has gone to heaven.

And with him a piece of me.

You don't quite understand.

And are not sure what to say.

I am not sure of anything.

As I get up each and everyday.

I truly love my son.

Please don't let him be forgotten.

So when you see my tears.

And you think you've hurt me in someway.

Please don't walk away.

Just sit with me and talk.

About my son who went away.

I know my heart is broken.

And this you cannot fix.

It helps to know he's remembered.

By those he touched that day.

My very special Angel.

who had to go away.

I asked for strength...

Verse....  "Do not conform to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will."  Romans 12:2

Thought for today.....   Lord I waited to hold my little one on my lap and tell them about you. But since I never had the chance, Will you please hold them on your lap and tell them about me?

Song/video....

Poem...

I asked for strength and God gave me difficulties to make me strong

I asked for wisdom and God gave me problems to solve

I asked for prosperity and God gave me brawn and brain to work

I asked for courage and God gave me dangers to overcome

I asked for patience God placed me in situations

where I was forced to wait

I asked for love and God gave me troubled people to help

I asked for favors and God gave me opportunities

I received nothing I wanted I received everything I needed

My Prayer Has Been Answered...

For yesterday and You.

A thousand words

can't bring you back

We know because

we've tried...

Neither will a

thousand tears

We know because

we've cried...

You left behind our broken hearts

And happy

memories too...

But we never wanted memories

We only wanted You.

The difference

Verse(s)...  "Then Job replied to the Lord: I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted.  You asked 'Who is this that obscures my counsel without knowledge?' Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know."Job 42:1-3 NIV

Thought for today...  God sent his son to die on the cross for our sins.  He knows your pain.

The Difference

I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day
I had so much to accomplish that I didnt have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about mke, and heavier came each task;
Why doesnt God help me? I wondered.  He answered "you didnt ask"
I wanted to see joy and beauty but the day toiled on gray and bleak.
I wondered why God didnt show me.
He said "But you didnt seek"
I tried to come into God's presence; I used all my keys at the lock
God gently and lovingly chided
"My child you didnt knock"
I woke up early this morning and paused before entering the day
I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.

About being strong

Verse....  "For where your treasure is your heart will be also."  Luke 12:34  NIV

Thought for the day....  Grief is like a long valley, a winding valley where any bend may reveal a totally new landscape....  Not every bend does.  Sometimes the suprise is the opposite one; you are presented wtih exactly the same sort of country that you thought you had left behind a mile ago.  That is when you wonder whether the valley isnt a circular trench.  But it isnt.  There are partial recurrences, but the sequence doesnt repeat. (C.S. Lewis)

About Being Strong

by Sascha

Many people are convinced

that being strong and brave

means trying to think

and talk about “something else.”

But we know

that being strong and brave

means thinking and talking

about our child

until our grief begins to be bearable.

That is strength.

That is courage.

And only thus can

“being strong and brave”

help us to heal.

A Place

Verse.....  "Save me, O God, for the waters have come up to my neck."  Psalm 69:1I   Dont we sometimes feel this way?  Some days I feel like I am drowning in grief.

Thought for today....  It's time to let God's love cover all things in your life.  All secrets.  All hurts.  (Max Lucado)

Poem...

A Place

by Ileana Villahermosa

I've just met a group of friends

We all seem to feel the same

We are all part of a place

Where we share each others pain

In this place we're all alone

No one wants ever to go

It is filled by those who lost

At least a daughter or son

A child that will forever

No longer be here with us

This place is not really far

It is here in our hearts

No one believes it exists

Others think is just a myth!!

Is a place where our old friends

Seem to no longer ask

About the kids we once had

Like if they don't say a word

It will no longer hurt

They are scared, they don't want

Ever to walk our path

We know no one understands

Unless they've been there once

Once you've enter to this place

There's no way you'll be the same

It is in this place that we keep

All the dreams that we once had

All of our hopes and our past

The memories of our child

It is in this place

Where we've learn

That the pain will not be less

Whether we are asleep or awake

That we were betrayed by fate

It is in there where we pray

And ask for that great reward

Dear God, please find the way

We'll be patient and we'll wait

For that clear sunny day

When we no longer feel pain

We all want the same reward

See our child and have them back

Let them come and take our hand

Let them take us to your land

Let us never be apart
